Fall is a great time of year to head to the dollar store to find craft supplies. I found packs of wooden fall shapes there recently and grabbed a few packs for this project. With a few other supplies from a traditional craft store, I was able to make a beautiful farmhouse fall banner out of those cheap dollar store supplies. I hope you can use these techniques for your own fall decorating!

I found the base pieces for this banner at the dollar store. The dollar store is a great source for inexpensive craft supplies, especially in the fall! You can likely find similar wood shapes online or at the craft store, they will just be more expensive.

DECORATING WITH A FARMHOUSE BANNER FOR FALL
I hung the farmhouse banner from our mantel which I decorated with other rustic decor pieces. I found the ceramic white houses and the small faux evergreens in the dollar area of Target last year. The wood trees are from Consumer Crafts, as is the wood pallet that I distressed with a small torch to bring out the wood grain. I made the reverse canvas and the wooden beaded garland myself. Finally, the orange faux velvet pumpkin is also from the dollar store!
